I really don't see how details of pregnancy add anything erotic to a story but there seems to be a real fascination with it by some readers. Great revenge story... Bad things happening to good people kind of balance this 'I'm a young guy fucking two skinny big-titted sisters of which one is my mom' storyline out, but getting away with three murders is over the top. Aunt Millie conformed quickly to the arrangements w/o whoring herself and ruining everybody's life. Having babies from both would get the townfolk talking unless everyone thinks Millie had twins. It's ok to some townsfolk if Peter and Meg's incest (obvious incest) was found out because that's what a lot of mid-west farmer mothers do to keep the family together, is to provide the sexual outlet for EVERYONE in the family. Family sex is required in some farmers' life to make life bearable..., but..., the more societally acceptable plausible storyline would be that Peter is fucking Millie only, wouldn't you agree?

Getting away with three murders is over the top? This is the late 1960s, right? Or are we in the 1970s, I can't remember? I swore the 60s based on how Millie's attire was based on the fashion trends of the 60s while Meg was still into the 1950s fashion. Anyway, we're talking about a 400-acre farm. I know the author said 500 acres most recently, but didn't the father inherit 500 acres and then give away 100 acres to Meg's father to get her hand in marriage? A 400-acre farm with hardly any workers on it most of the year on a farm in East Buttfuck Nowheresville, Iowa in the 1960s.

I'd say it was probably incredibly easy to make people disappear back then. Just like it was a lot easier for the mob to make people disappear or blow their brains out in public in NYC & Chicago up until the 1990s/2000s. No real forensic sciences to be worried about. Policing was much different back then. If you were a decent-looking white guy driving a paid-for and insured brand-new pickup truck with working-man hands, even if you did get pulled over in the mid-West chances are it was "Now, just slow it down, son...And have yourself a safe trip." Hell, I graduated HS in 1993 in Massachusetts and when the cops pulled us over when we were 17 or 18 and 3 or 4 of us had open beers with another case & a half left to go, all they would do is take our beer and say, "Get your asses home...if I see you driving again I'm going to haul you in." That was a regular occurrence - probably because we were clean-cut white kids. The point is...Times were much, much different. Especially in the 1960s.
