The middle deck is the VIP deck with two large and two smaller state rooms, two business offices, and a multi-purpose VIP room that can be used for meetings, VIP dining, or other purposes.

The Miles Medent has a relatively large cargo space in the middle of her third deck, enabling it to carry cargo. The space is accessed externally by a large cargo door on the lower deck. The space can be reconfigured swiftly with various designed inserts giving the ship much flexibility in its use.

- MHFS Dr. Heyya Margrave 10001 Margrave Class Marine Hospital Fast Ship Lt. Cdr. James Seagrave commanding. Because of the size of crew and staff, the Margrave Class ships are commanded by a Lieutenant Commander/Major. The Margrave Class is loosely built around The Valour II Class but is slightly wider and longer. First seen in chapter fifty-nine.

Range: Capable of 195ly jumps. New Marilon/Aruna generators means the ship can recharge within an hour. Additional banks of generators mean the ship can complete a triple jump totalling 585 light years making almost any point in the Greater Community within reach without recharging. The new generator types do not require a 'rest' so the ship can continue to jump every hour.

Speed: Capable of exceeding 1.30 C without jumping. Can cruise continuously at 95% C.

Length: 38m, Width: 12.5m. Three decks each roughly 4m in height internally which means it can easily house the taller species of the Greater Community.

Weapons: 1 x twin gun 50mm CIW rail gun turret in a smaller turret built in consideration of the aerodynamics of atmospheric flight necessary for the class. The turret holds 6,000 rds per gun in the turret and an additional 12,000 rds per gun in magazines located close to the turret for a maximum basic load of 36,000 rds. Each rail is capable of firing 12rds per second, or 24rds per second for both rails, which means the guns can be fired for a total of 25 minutes.

Compliment: Can be crewed by 10 ratings and officers but has 15 due to the need to move patients about. It also has quarters for 25 additional medical staff who attend to the four surgical suits and wards on the lower deck. Unlike other Trine Class or Valour II Class ships, all of the crew quarters are on the second deck while the hospital is on the lower deck.

The cargo space in the center of the lower deck has been converted into four surgical suites. The lower deck also has four 'wards' that can hold up to ten patients each. These wards are designed to be used on a temporary bases as patients are transported to fixed base Marine Hospitals on various planets around the Union or to larger hospital ships. In front of the first two wards, there is an area designated as a Triage Area where patients receive initial assessment for their needs. Across from Triage is the ship's morgue.

It has the combined mess, a small but well appointed gym, and a theatre that can hold fifty people on the first deck.

- Interspecies Embassy

The Interspecies Embassy is known by several names; The Liramor Embassy Association, The Embassy of the Greater Community, and by the nickname for the platform 'Ard Mheydeh' (Neutral Ground in Anuuran). This embassy was initially placed on Liramor-23 in anticipation of having the Pod-Drran, the Maha-Rrin, and the Insectoids as the principal members. However, the Insectoid's Great Ship brought five other species with them and then informed the humans that there were ten intelligent species among the Community of Intelligent Species.

Beng (Mutt), Utan>, Dragon, Jr. Ambs. Junior Ambassador to the Asocan Embassy on Liramor-23. An Asocan female and a fierce warrior. She takes no shit from anyone, not even her boss whom she often treats like a teenage male. First seen in chapter forty-three.

Demoiné, Charles, Ambs. D. Pol Sci, UDC Ambassador-at-large - assigned to The Wanderer for first contact missions with alien species but now works mostly from the Interspecies Embassy on Liramor-23. In his late fifties when he is first assigned to The Wanderer in 2485. Home planet Nouvelle France. First seen in chapter twenty-six.

Halten, Michelle, Ambs. D. Pol Sci, Ambassador - in charge of the new embassy on Liramor-23. Originally from Terra. Sixty three at the time of her appointment in 2485. First seen in chapter twenty-six.
