Dali's Persistence of Memory

A puddle of time slips
over the edge lost
in wine and honeyed
ants in amber
clutter golden sweetness.
To slide in languorous drapes
against a profile
wrinkles in time unfurl
the sweep of lashes, my lips

pressed on my somnolent
brow. Would that a towel
bake as time allows
skeletal remains to dry
tossed over a branch
on shores so calm.
Get closer and see
time waits for everyone
just in different poses.

I love Dali pictures and 'A puddle of time slips

over the edge ' is a wonderful discription well done!
